I absolutely love this product. I have very curly/frizzy/dry/"Ethnic" hair. Used to have spit ends galore. I have bought every product for curly hair there is and did not like any of them. Gave them all away on free cycle after finding Wen Fig. I have been using Wen Fig for about 3 years now and love it. It is my only product. I find that I lose far less hair with each washing and have much less spit ends now. The Fig is for really dry hair. I use a ton of this product in the shower, rinse and then use some more as a leave in conditioner/styling product and then scrunch my hair and let it dry. My curls look great and despite dyeing my hair all the time, my hair is in perfect health. Yeay Wen.
Sometimes I alternate with the Lavender Wen also, but almost exclusively use the Fig since my hair is sooooo dry without it and (would be) damaged.

Hi There,

I purchased this product about two months ago and have been using it consistently ever since. I wanted to wait to write a review on it because I am well aware that with a lot of beauty products especially hair care items usually work great at first and then fizz out. This is exactly what this product did for me. It was very gentle on my hair but I found that most of its claims were unfounded at least in my case. Was it more sensitive to my dyed hair than other shampoos? Perhaps but my color faded out the same way. Did it control my naturally curly/wavy hair? Absolutely not, in fact I walked around with an absolute fro for at least a month and a half before giving up and going back to my old styling product. I followed the directions to a tee which I have a bit of a beef with, your supposed to put on the styling cream and conditioner when your hair is wet, all this did was give me a cold and it wasn't even winter! I can't count the nights I went to bed with wet hair on account of these directions to wake up to the same fro, granted a soft fro but none the less a fro. There was no need for this, I have very healthy hair, this product did nothing to manage it. I suppose I could have looked forward to pneumonia in the winter since the temps here go down to the teens sometimes. Its just not user friendly in that respect unless of coarse you blow dry your hair and not everyone has time to do that especially those of us with long hair. I am going to continue to use this product till it runs out because it is rather expensive and too late to get a refund. The selling point of this product is the fact that it contains no sulfates, look around, there are many other shampoos on the market to day that do not contain sulfates and are much more affordable. They might or might not work for you regardless but I'd rather spend $[...] bucks on a bottle of shampoo than $[...] on one that does not work.



Good product - WSM -
This shampoo/conditioner is great with my naturally curly hair. I only need two-three pumps on my short hair to wash it (much less than recommended, but any more than that and my hair gets heavy). Also, I sometimes use one more pump as a leave-in styler/conditioner, and then I don't need any other product! So, even though it's expensive, it's the only hair product that I use.

Overall this product is awesome. I live in a very dry climate and this has really helped eliminate static flyaways and pretty much solved my dry scalp issues. The scent takes some getting used to, but it's tolerable. I do wish it wasn't quite so expensive, but using 5-6 pumps vs the recommended amount for my long (several inches below my shoulders) wavy hair seems to work just fine. The texture is a thick conditioner, so it feels like you're just skipping shampoo, but somehow it cleans the hair without leaving it greasy. I have a feeling I won't be going back to regular shampoo and conditioner anytime soon!
