The latest Playstation Portable revision, the PSP-3000, has everything the older PSPs had but now includes a built-in microphone, which lets you take advantage of voice features in some games as well as the PSP's built-in Skype functionality without having to use a headset. This PSP-3000 comes in a sleek black color scheme and also includes an improved anti-reflective screen that offers higher contrast and clearer visibility in well-lit places and can even be used outdoors.
A Full Entertainment System in Your Hands
The PSP was designed to handle all varieties of applications and entertainment -- music, video, communication, wireless networking, and, of course, gaming. Users will enjoy top-notch 3D games with high-quality, full-motion video, and high-fidelity audio. The 4.3-inch wide screen display is bright and beautiful, and works well under many different lighting conditions. If you prefer, you can also connect your PSP to your TV. The PSP utilizes the Universal Media Disc (UMD) for a storage medium, each of which holds 1.8 GB of data.
Hundred of Games to Choose From
The PSP gaming library is hundreds of titles strong and covers a wide variety of genres. Whether you are seeking the hard hits of football or the strategy of a puzzle game, there's sure to be many games for you. The PSP is capable of graphics quality that is comparable to the PlayStation 2, but in a pocket-sized package that you can take wherever you go.
Watch Movies and Videos On The Go
When you just want to sit back and enjoy a movie on a long plane trip, the PSP has you covered. The PSP offers two options to do this: you can either purchase full-length movies and TV shows on UMD, or you can download videos onto your computer and transfer them on a Memory Stick Duo for playing on your PSP. Included in the package is the movie National Treasure 2 on UMD.
You can also watch recorded television content downloaded to a Memory Stick Duo with the TiVo-To-Go service. (Please note that this requires $24.95 fee, you must have a TiVo Series2 connected to your home network.)
Listen to Your Music Collection Anywhere
With the ability to play MP3, WAV, WMA, ATRAC3+, and MP4 files, you can easily use your PSP as an audio player. Simply place your music on a Memory Stick Duo, and you can navigate your collection using the PSP's XMB (XrossMediaBar) to select your song to play.
UMD discs can hold 1.8 GB for epic games and full-length movies. View larger. |
With the PSP, you can show a slideshow of your photo collection with your friends by simply placing them on a Memory Stick Duo and accessing them via PSP's XMB. Additionally, you can beam photos wirelessly to friends who also have a PSP.

returned... (2009-02-24)

PSP 3000 (2009-02-19)
I was reluctant to spend money on the PSP 3000 when I already owned the original 1000. The new PSPs felt flimsy and not as durable as the original. After reading other reviews I finally spent the money and bought the PSP 3000. The display is brighter and the picture seems clearer but the upgraded features is what really has pleased me on this new model. The WLAN picked up my router immediately after entering WPK code and the ability to make SKYPE phone calls are so convenient because the PSP is shaped similar to most home phones and has a built in microphone. I can treat it just like another phone in the house. The internet radio program is truly top notch. The clarity and sound quality through my headphones produce an excellent listening experience which I seem to use more than my IPOD or other MP3 players. The signal is static free and the controls are very easy to use. Another excellent feature is Video Out capabilities. When traveling, you have a portable DVD player that you can attach to the hotel room TV to watch movies on a bigger screen or even play your games. As a gaming experience there is no real difference between the new machine and the original PSP. If you have an original PSP and are wondering if you should upgrade, I say upgrade to the PSP 3000 because it has enough new features to make it worth the money.
Nice Bundle (2009-02-12)
Overall, the PSP is a great system. I can't say much for Ratchet & Clank, but Everyday Shooter is pretty cool (the voucher for the piano black version of this bundle).
the PsP 3000 it's awesome (2009-01-28)
The psp 3000 its way lighter and slimmer than the psp 2000. The Ratchet and Clank bundle its so fun to play.
Fantastic price at Amazon (2009-01-28)
I bought this for my son and now we both use it almost every day.
Adding a 16gb pro duo card makes this the best portable device for your music, videos etc.
Upgrading to the media Manager for PSP helps a bit to convert basic files. I can now listen to my podcast and certain files are automatically converted.
You will need to purcahse a program to convert your personal DVDs to the MP4 format to see them on your PSP.
Also the S Component cable to view the display on your TV along with a starter kit as this is not included in the 17 in one starter kit.
Again Amazon had the best price, the wait was worth it.

Good Price, get what you pay for though. (2009-01-30)
Price was great, and shipping was quick. Smaller then advertised when I purchased it. JUST fits a PSP-2000 have to squeeze the sides a bit. Would not recommend storing game discs, may crack the enclosure. (a bit tight) Product does its job though, holds my PSP while protecting.
Good, and Fair.. (2009-01-27)
This Case is simple, and good option for the price. it feature several pockets were i can save my UMDS. if you have lots of UMDS this case does not become a good option. you can carry just up 4 UMDS in it. it is ligth and easy to handle.
Great product (2009-01-27)
This is really handy for my sons PSP 3000. The only thing is that I wish it was a bit roomier so that it could fit the wall charger.
Great case, but you have to be careful with it. (2009-01-26)
The case is very functional. It has slots for two UMDs making it possible to carry 3. Also has a pocket for headphones, etc...
As others have stated, there is an issue with a metal piece from the biner where you store your psp. Where it is located (top right corner of case), it cannot possibly scratch your screen. I can see how it could scratch your psp though. I have been very careful with it because of what I have read in other reviews. I just lay my cleaning cloth between it and the psp, and that seems to take care of any problems. For the price, I would still recommend this product. Just be careful when you are storing your psp.
PSP case (2009-01-26)
Its not what I expected. I dont like the way my psp fits in it.

- Screen filter for PSP
- Protects PSP screen from getting dirt and scratches
- Re-usable filter
The Protective Filter Portable for the PSP is a scratch resistant layer that reduces glare and provides a clearer view of the screen.
oops!! (2009-02-13)
This is a great product. It reduces glare and protects the screen from scratches. It also cuts down on the amount of dust on your screen.
My only complaint is to make sure that you apply the protective filter the right way the first time. You wont have a second shot at it.
Also, make sure your screen is as clean as humanly possible before applying it. Any spec of dust will show up and will become a nusance quickly.
If you peel it up to resituate the filter be super carefull!!!!! Don't do what I did and drop it. I got dog hair all over it. I was unable to get all the debris of so I threw it away and bought a new one.
N.G. Protective Filter (2009-02-02)
This filter creates air bubbles that are impossible to press out. It also slides easily if you touch the screen. Lastly, you only receive one filter for the price. I would definitely steer clear of this protective filter.
BAD PRODUCT!!!!! (2009-01-14)
Okay, where to start:
Pros:
1)You get a little hanky thing inside.
Cons:
I tried to get my product, and what did I find? A sticker. On the little screen. I tried to take it off. I managed, just barely. But....I still had that sticky and half paper on my screen protector. All I got out of it was a little hanky, not bad for cleaning, yet not worth $5. I heard this was an EXCELLENT product, so I was very disapointed.
It has a sticker on top, gives you only ONE[!!!!] screen protector which will easily break, and also it has a sticker on it - which is way to sticky. I barely managed to get it off, and in the end, it didn't really help.
Great product (2009-01-12)
Although I did not purchase these directly from Amazon this time around because I found them cheaper on Ebay, I have to still write a review since I saw some saying negative about these...
The ones I purchased were all in Chinese language instructions except for the tabs on the protective film.
However the pictures were pretty self explanatory.
Just remember to clean your psp screen with some eye glass cleaner and a lint free cloth first.
Then apply by removing tab marked one and place this surface down on the psp...As you apply you can gently press your finger or use the card board piece they give to you to smooth out the air bubbles if any occur.
Once its in place then remove the top piece by pulling on Tab 2.
I had no problem applying it and you can't even tells its on.
Great product.
Very Good Value (2009-01-12)
I bought this for my son's brand new PSP. My adult nephew was able to affix it to the screen fairly easily. There was just one tiny bubble at the corner but it looks great!
